Our grotto is not a traditional chlorinated swimming pool. It is a professionally maintained, naturally filtered water feature designed to feel like an authentic Ozark swimming hole.

Because this is a natural water feature, its water level, temperature, clarity, color, and overall appearance vary with rainfall, seasonal conditions, drought, and spring flow.

During periods of low rainfall or drought, reduced water circulation may result in lower water levels, reduced clarity, or a greener appearance than shown in photographs. Creek flow throughout the property can also decrease significantly or temporarily stop during especially dry conditions. Just like an Ozark stream, the creek and grotto pool can also be home to insects or aquatic life - we've had guests note that they enjoyed watching crayfish in the creek through the glass floor window!

The natural environment is part of experiencing an Ozark water feature rather than a chemically treated swimming pool.

The last approximately five minutes of your drive follow a winding, county-maintained gravel road through the Ozark hills. The road is regularly traveled by standard vehicles but can be bumpy, dusty, or muddy depending on recent weather. Drive slowly and allow a little extra time.

✔ THIS IS A DEVELOPING YET RURAL OZARK SETTING
Echo Creek sits on two wooded acres within a quiet, yet developing lakeside community. Infrastructure and community development is in progress and there may be some construction or road work in the area. Neighboring homes are spaced throughout the surrounding woods, while the cabin, hot tub, dome, deck, and creek areas are positioned to provide a peaceful sense of privacy.

✔ CREEK FLOW CHANGES WITH THE WEATHER
The creek is a natural waterway, not a mechanically controlled feature. Water flow varies with rainfall, drought, spring activity, and seasonal conditions. During extended dry periods, portions of the creek bed may have little or no visible flowing water.

✔ THE GROTTO IS NATURAL, NOT CHLORINATED
The spring-fed grotto is professionally maintained and naturally filtered, but it is intentionally designed as an Ozark swimming-hole experience rather than a traditional swimming pool. Water level, clarity, vegetation, aquatic life, and appearance change naturally throughout the year.

✔ NATURE COMES WITH WILDLIFE
Deer, birds, butterflies, frogs, insects, and other native wildlife are common. They are part of staying in the Ozark forest.

✔ EXPLORE WITH CARE
The property includes natural rock formations, wooded terrain, natural plant life, water features, and changes in elevation. Appropriate footwear and reasonable caution are recommended when exploring.

✔ FIREPLACE SEASON IS WEATHER DEPENDENT
During warmer temperatures above approximately 75°F, guests should use the fireplace’s decorative LED lighting only. The heat function is disabled when necessary to protect the unit.

Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
